Terms & conditions

At Screen Acting Studio, we believe that everyone has the right to express themselves creatively in a safe and comfortable environment.

If you have any questions or encounter difficulty meeting any of the terms and conditions outlined below, please contact Screen Acting Studio prior to the commencement of classes. All correspondence and communication shall remain confidential.

Punctuality

  • Classes will begin at the scheduled time. Being on time for classes is important for class participant focus – entering the space late breaks teacher and student attention.

  • Punctuality also sets up an atmosphere of respect for the creative work that is being done by students. Respecting and valuing the creative work results in a respectful and friendly class culture and atmosphere.

  • If a student is running late please telephone the school.

  • If a student will be absent, please contact us before commencement of class.

All students at Screen Acting Studio have the right to feel safe to express themselves in our classes without fear of discrimination, bullying behaviour or physical harm.

  • Screen Acting Studio has zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying, and harassment of any kind to students within our classes.

  • Screen Acting Studio ensures, so far as is reasonably practicable, that students are not subject to or exposed to discrimination, harassment, and bullying.

  • Students are expected to respect the creative work of all students including giving full attention and focus during class demonstrations and performances. If any student is in breach of this expectation, then the Screen Acting Studio Creative Director has the authority to exclude and/or cancel the enrolment of the student from classes and/or term without a refund. If such a case occurs during class time the student may be asked to leave immediately. If the student is under 18, their parent or guardian will be contacted and will need to arrange immediate collection of the student.

  • If a student experiences bullying or harassment, then Screen Acting Studio encourages affected parties to report the behaviour to the Artistic Director or Studio Manager, so that it can be dealt with immediately and in confidence.

  • Students are not permitted to leave class early unless pre-arranged by the parent/guardian.

  • Child abuse includes sexual offences, grooming, physical violence, serious emotional or psychological harm, serious neglect, and a child's exposure to family violence.
